Play Therapy for Children Ages 4-11

Play therapy is a gentle, effective therapeutic approach designed primarily for children to express and process their emotions, thoughts, and experiences through play. Since children often find it hard to communicate their feelings with words, play provides a natural and safe way for them to make sense of their world.

In play therapy sessions, children use toys, art, games, and creative activities to explore their emotions, work through challenges, and develop healthy coping skills. The therapist creates a supportive, non-judgmental space where children can freely express themselves and build emotional resilience.

This therapy is especially beneficial for children facing trauma, anxiety, behavioral challenges, or significant life transitions. By engaging through play, children can process difficult experiences in a way that feels safe and manageable, fostering healing and growth.

Play therapy is offered for children ages 4 to 11, with a gradual transition to more traditional, talk-based therapy as children approach pre-adolescence. Parent support is provided as needed throughout the process to ensure family involvement and continued progress.
